Plastering, spackling, painting

Spackling surfaces is a long, costly process. Often, when an apartment is being prepared for sale, this process is simplified. However, if the owners plan to live there all their lives or in the years to come, the wall surface should be prepared. For this purpose, gypsum plaster is most often used. Alignment of corners, sealing of joints, cracks, chips is often required. This may require repeated application of spackle layers. Each subsequent layer must be applied after the previous layer has dried well. High-quality spackle will provide soundproofing, preparation of the base for painting or applying wallpaper.

Please note!

If plastering is carried out in a new building, a reinforcing plaster mesh is necessary. Using this option will reduce the likelihood of cracks due to shrinkage of a new house.

Newly plastered walls increase the level of moisture in the room. Therefore, before laminate or parquet flooring is laid, the walls should dry well.

For applying paint, gluing wallpaper, the plaster should completely dry.
